Safeguarding the privacy of visitors of our website www.tip-used.com (the “Website”), is important to TIP. Therefore, we have adopted this policy (the “Privacy Policy”), which describes how we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your personal data. The TIP Trailer Services Group of Companies is made up of different legal entities. This Privacy Policy is issued on behalf of TIP Trailer Service Management B.V. (“TIP”), which is the so-called ‘controller’ responsible for the processing of your personal data in this context. When we mention TIP, we, us, or our in the Privacy Policy, we are referring to the relevant company of the TIP Group.

The Website aims to facilitate connections between buyers and sellers for used trailers and trailer parts. In that context, you may be asked to provide your personal data to contact TIP or companies affiliated with TIP, which can exchange personal data and use for that purpose, it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You are not required to provide the personal data we ask for. However, if you choose not to do so, we may not always be able to offer you our products or services, answer any questions you may have or process your application.

When you create a TIP ID, request a trade credit, purchase a product, contact us or participate in an online survey or use certain other services or features of the Website, we may collect personal data about you.

TIP will only disclose your personal data to the service providers operating the Website, managing our Website’s CRM, handling our accounting, bookkeeping and billing, and other parties who assist us in operating our Website, conducting our business, or serving our users. We will not disclose your personal data to any other third party, except where you have given your consent or where TIP is authorised or required to do so by law or where it is necessary for the purpose of, or in connection with legal proceedings or in order to exercise or defend TIP’s legal rights.

We will only process your personal data for the period indicated above, unless we are subject to a legal requirement to retain such personal data for a longer period. After this retention period, we will either delete or anonymise your data.
